The Metroplex and Sundance Institute proudly announce the return of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong Short Film Competition, now open for submissions to Hong Kong filmmakers.

With the overwhelming response from the past three editions, Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong Short Film Competition has witnessed the growth and evolution of local short films. Previous shortlisted shorts have demonstrated the originality and potential of emerging Hong Kong filmmakers, therefore this year the anticipation is high as we invite more quality short films from local talents.

Past Jury Award-winning shorts have been selected for the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, where they were able to meet a wider and more diverse audience from around the world, a valuable and inspirational experience for the directors.
