It's always a pleasure to bring the latest original and diverse independent voices to Hong Kong’s creative and energetic audiences. An artist must make the difficult decision of what story needs to be told, determine how much of themselves to reveal, and ultimately must dive in, headfirst, and risk it all. My thanks to the artists, our partners at The Metroplex and all of our supporters for making it possible.
Our Hong Kong lineup of independent films direct from the Sundance Film Festival continues to connect filmmakers and their unique stories to new audiences on the other side of our world. We are excited to include the winners of our Hong Kong Short Film Competition alongside other feature-length award winners, as well as new panels perfect for emerging local filmmakers and our growing ranks of Sundance film fans.
Building on the immensely successful experiences we've had in the past five years, the sixth edition of Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong is back bigger and bolder than ever. As champions of a strong independent film culture in Hong Kong, we will continue to collaborate with Sundance Institute for the Short Film Competition, panel discussions and master class. We look forward to continuing our close partnership with Sundance Institute in growing this world-class film festival into an annual unmissable event for Hong Kong cinephiles.
